This isn’t for someone who wants everything. This is just a boat. It’s the opposite of over-equipped — simple, rugged, and honest. Think of it as a modern take on a classic workboat — built in maintenance-free aluminum for real use rather than show. It’s not designed for 600 hp outboards or 50+ knots top speed. Instead, it delivers a comfortable cruising speed of around 16 knots with a top speed of about 22 knots, and fuel consumption around 13 l/h at 15–16 knots.

The hull is a semi-planning wave-cleaver that cuts through waves smoothly rather than bouncing over them, giving excellent comfort in most coastal conditions. Inside the insulated cabin you'll find comfort year-round, aided by a 2 kW diesel heater — and the forward cabin (“forepeak”) sleeps two people comfortably. 

Like all our boats, the Nordvarg 640 is designed to sit in the water all season without freezing in, covering, or special winter preparation — ready for action whenever you are. Only routine engine maintenance is required. 

On the aft deck you get seating for up to 8 people or a load capacity of 1200 kg. A small davit is included in the limited equipment list.
